Experiencing the Childrens Museum of the Treasure Coast
Experiencing the Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast...
The Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast happens to be another venue I've frequented the location of, but had yet to see inside of, until last weekend. There are always events going on and around here, including photo walks and events at the neighboring venues. This location has held snow days and more. The purpose of our visit on January 4, 2014 was to experience a New Year Celebration!
I didn't know what to expect and didn't want to get there too early in case my kids lost interest quickly, so we arrived a half hour before the "ball drop". After we entered I was pleasantly surprised to see how many other families were there. You know how kids are, as soon as they see others in their age group, they make quick friends and are ready to show each other all that is going on. I decided not to be my normally in control self and allowed them to lead the way. We were informed by an employee that a good place to start would be upstairs on the big ship where children are making noise makers for the ball drop. So my eldest decided he'd create one while my youngest was more interested in the "push the boat against the wind exhibit".
My husband and I actually had as much fun as our kids here. The exhibits are so cute, and the costumes made it even better! Plus, there is a mini grocery store...how awesome is that? Check out the photos below!
Note: Visitors and residents of the Treasure Coast, this is another great option!
